In the third quarter of 2025, fixed investment in Cape Verde (which includes construction and real estate) registered an impressive jump of 53.7%, reflecting the strong momentum of new projects and investor confidence in the sector.

In March 2026, Cape Verde was ranked as having the best governance in Africa by the World Economics Governance Index, occupying the 29th position worldwide — ahead of powers such as South Korea and just behind the USA.

The country surpassed its historic target of 1.2 million annual visitors. At the beginning of 2025, the average occupancy rate rose to 66%, with markets such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and Portugal leading the demand for overnight stays.

With the recent modernization of the airport network (an investment of over 200 million euros), 35 new air routes were launched between 2024 and 2025, consolidating the country as the main hub.
